Last updated: 13 May 2026

1. About These Terms

These terms and conditions govern your use of cargo shipping, freight forwarding, and related services provided by Precebol Logistics Ltd, registered in England and Wales (Companies House No. 10006221), with registered office at 52 Camberwell Church Street, London SE5 8QZ ("Precebol", "we", "us").

By placing a booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before booking.

2. Our Services

Precebol provides the following services between the United Kingdom and Nigeria:

  • Air freight and sea cargo shipping
  • Door-to-door collection and delivery
  • Automobile and vehicle shipment
  • Personal effects and household goods shipping
  • Document courier
  • Commercial import and export freight
  • Warehousing and cargo consolidation

All services are subject to availability and are provided on the terms set out herein and in any booking confirmation we issue to you.

3. Booking and Acceptance

A contract for services is formed when Precebol issues a written booking confirmation (by email or WhatsApp) following receipt of your booking request and any required deposit. Verbal or online enquiries do not constitute a binding booking.

You are responsible for ensuring all information provided at the time of booking is accurate, including item descriptions, dimensions, weight, collection and delivery addresses, and consignee contact details. Errors in booking information may result in additional charges or delays.

4. Pricing and Payment

  • All prices quoted are in GBP (£) unless stated otherwise.
  • Quoted prices cover collection in the UK, export documentation, freight, and Nigerian customs clearance and delivery, unless otherwise specified in writing.
  • Prices do not include Nigerian import duty, NAFDAC fees, SON/SONCAP fees, or any other Nigerian government levies, which remain the responsibility of the consignee.
  • Volumetric weight surcharges apply where freight volume exceeds actual weight (as per carrier tariffs).
  • Payment is due in full at or before the time of collection, unless a credit account has been agreed in writing.
  • Precebol reserves the right to hold cargo until all outstanding charges are paid.

5. Prohibited and Restricted Items

You must not tender for shipping any item that is prohibited under UK law, Nigerian law, or applicable international regulations. A full list of prohibited items is available at /prohibited-items. Key prohibited categories include:

  • Firearms, ammunition, and explosives
  • Controlled drugs and narcotics
  • Counterfeit goods
  • Fresh or perishable food items
  • Currency above declaration thresholds
  • Items subject to export licensing that the sender has not obtained

If prohibited items are discovered at any stage of transit, Precebol reserves the right to surrender those items to the relevant authorities without liability to the customer. Additional costs arising from prohibited item interception (storage, fines, legal fees) will be charged to the customer.

6. Packaging

The customer is responsible for ensuring all items are adequately packed to withstand normal handling during road, sea, and air transit. Precebol accepts no liability for damage arising from inadequate packaging. We reserve the right to refuse or re-pack items presented in unsuitable packaging at the customer's cost.

7. Collection and Delivery

  • Collection dates and delivery windows are estimates. Precebol does not guarantee specific transit times and accepts no liability for delays caused by customs holds, weather, carrier disruption, or circumstances outside our control.
  • For Nigerian delivery, a working recipient phone number is required. If the recipient cannot be reached or is unavailable for two delivery attempts, additional charges may apply for re-delivery or storage.
  • Risk of loss or damage passes to Precebol at the point of collection and reverts to the consignee upon delivery.

8. Insurance

Basic cargo insurance is included in our standard shipments covering loss or total destruction during transit. This does not cover fragile items damaged through inadequate packaging, inherent vice, or items with undisclosed value.

For high-value items (electronics, jewellery, documents), we strongly recommend declaring the full value at the time of booking so appropriate insurance cover can be arranged. Precebol's liability is limited to the declared value or £100, whichever is lower, unless additional insurance is purchased.

9. Claims

Any claim for loss or damage must be notified to Precebol in writing within 7 days of the delivery date (or expected delivery date in the case of loss). Claims submitted after this period will not be accepted. Claims must include the booking reference, a description of the loss or damage, and supporting evidence (photographs where applicable).

10. Customs and Import Duty

Precebol facilitates customs clearance but has no control over Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) decisions, assessments, or holds. Import duty, levies, and any port charges assessed by Nigerian authorities are the sole responsibility of the consignee. Precebol will communicate any duty assessments to the customer and will not release cargo until all duties are settled.

The customer warrants that all customs declarations made on their behalf are accurate and complete. Precebol accepts no liability for penalties, seizures, or delays arising from inaccurate declarations provided by the customer.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Precebol's total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to our services shall not exceed the freight charges paid by you for the affected shipment.

Precebol is not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses, including loss of business, loss of profit, or loss of opportunity, however caused.

12. Force Majeure

Precebol is not liable for failure to perform any obligation under these terms where such failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, war, strike, port closures, airline disruption, government action, or pandemic.

13. Complaints

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us at info@precebollogistics.co.uk or call (+44) 7946 272819. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 business days and resolve them within 14 days.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

15. Changes to These Terms

Precebol reserves the right to update these terms at any time. The current version is always available at /terms-and-conditions. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
