Moving Back to Nigeria from the UK — Full Household Relocation.

Relocating from the UK to Nigeria? Precebol ships your entire household — furniture, appliances, personal effects, and vehicles — by sea cargo to any Nigerian address, fully cleared and delivered.

Returning home after years in the UK is a significant moment — your cargo service should match it. Many Nigerians who have spent years building lives in the UK eventually make the decision to return. When that time comes, the question of what to do with everything you have accumulated — furniture, appliances, clothing, kitchenware, children’s belongings, and vehicles — needs a specialist answer. Precebol Logistics provides a complete household removal service from any UK city to any Nigerian state, by sea cargo, with full customs clearance and door delivery at the Nigerian end.

What we ship for UK-to-Nigeria relocations. Full furniture sets — sofas, beds, wardrobes, dining tables, shelving. Kitchen and household appliances — washing machines, fridges, freezers, cookers, microwaves. Clothing and personal effects. Books, educational materials, and children’s items. Electronics — televisions, computers, audio equipment. Garden equipment and tools. Vehicles (shipped separately — see our Automobile Shipment service). Everything that makes a house a home.

How the relocation service works. Contact us with a rough inventory of what you are moving. We provide a volume and cost estimate. We collect from your UK address — one collection or multiple pick-ups as you vacate the property. Goods are consolidated at our Camberwell warehouse (see our Warehousing service for staged collection over weeks or months if needed). We book a sea freight departure and prepare all export documentation. On arrival in Nigeria, our Lagos team coordinates port clearance. Goods are delivered to your new Nigerian address.

Nigerian customs for returning residents. Nigeria allows returning residents to import their household effects under certain conditions with reduced or zero customs duty — commonly referred to as “Change of Residence” or “Transfer of Residence” (ToR) relief. This applies to Nigerian nationals or residents returning after a specified period abroad. Our team advises on the documentation required to claim this relief, and our Lagos clearing agents facilitate the ToR application at the port. Correct use of ToR relief can save significantly on import duty for a full household consignment.

How long does a household removal take? Sea cargo is the standard method for household removals — it is the only economically viable way to move furniture and appliances. Transit from UK port to Lagos is approximately 4–6 weeks. Total time from collection to delivery at your Nigerian address is typically 6–8 weeks, depending on port clearance schedules and delivery to your final destination state.

Warehousing for staged relocations. If you are vacating a UK property over several weeks, or receiving goods from multiple locations (a shared flat, a storage unit, a family member’s house), our South London warehouse can hold everything until you are ready to ship as a single consolidated consignment. This is almost always more economical than multiple smaller sea freight bookings.

FCL or LCL for a full household? For a typical 2–3 bedroom household, a 20ft container (LCL or shared) is usually sufficient. For larger properties or combined household-plus-vehicle moves, a 40ft container may be more appropriate. We advise based on your inventory volume. All costs are quoted itemised and upfront before you commit.
